The 17th European Symposium on Organic Chemistry (ESOC 2011) will be held at Hersonissos, in Crete, Greece, from the 10th to 15th July, 2011.

The ESOC 2011 is dedicated to organic chemistry and related areas, emphasizing the following topics: Total Synthesis of Natural Products, Catalysis in Organic Synthesis, New Methods in Organic Synthesis, Medicinal Chemistry, Bioorganic Chemistry & Chemical Biology, Supramolecular Chemistry, Synthesis of Functional Materials, Physical Organic Chemistry.

The ESOC 2011 is organised by the Division of Organic Chemistry, Department of Chemistry,University of Crete (UOC). The program will include plenary as well as invited lectures and selected oral communications. There will also be two poster sessions.
